They also provide patrons with new opportunities to purchase unique works of art and build their collections. Legal Clinics for Artists and Arts Administrators Beginning Autumn 2013, Discover Roxbury will work with Volunteer Lawyers for the Arts (VLA) to provide legal services, advice, and educational programming to artists and arts administrators in Massachusetts. The clinics will be held at Discover Roxbury's office on September 25 and November 2. For more information about the clinics, please read the fact sheet here. ![]() International Artist Exchange In response to ArtROX! artists asking Discover Roxbury to facilitate new opportunities to broaden their experiences and contacts, Discover Roxbury will facilitate a cultural exchange with artists in Barcelona in September 2014. Barcelona, Spain's second largest city, is also one of Boston's sister cities and home to a dynamic arts scene with hundreds of contemporary artists living among the creations of masters like Gaudi and Picasso. The exchange will include visits with local artists and to international cultural sites. It will also include opportunities for participating Boston artists to work collaboratively with Spanish artists and independently on their own work. Once back in Boston, participating artists will share their experiences and exhibit work developed in and/or influenced by the exchange. For more information, please read the fact sheet here. |
