Discover Roxbury provides walking tours for school and out-of-school groups of all kinds. Our tours run approximately 90 minutes to 2 hours and can be adjusted to match your class' curriculum needs and age range. Our two most popular tours are:
Visit the Dillaway-Thomas House, the First Church in Roxbury, and Highland Park, three locations critical to Colonial and Revolutionary War-era Roxbury, along a route that traces Roxbury's earliest development.
Highland Park Art Walk
Explore the history and relevance of the public art (murals and sculpture) that inhabits Roxbury Crossing and Roxbury Community College, then visit the home studios of resident artists on Fort Hill/Highland Park.
